Dinner Party

While focus groups play an important role in the creative assessment toolkit, we believe foundational target understanding requires a less sterile approach. Our Dinner Party sessions accelerate the journey to truly breakthrough human insights by curating an exclusive food and drink experience among small groups reflecting Clients’ aspirational target audiences. The combination of moderated and self-directed conversations, captured and edited by our videography team, results in a mini-doc deliverable punctuated by strategic take-aways and creative inspiration.

Influencer Unboxings

Unboxing studies capitalize on the existing trend of Social Media Influencers sharing their first impressions of newly purchased products with online followers. Respondents are sent a prototype, in-market product or innovation concept, and directed to open the item on camera while narrating their reactions. We often pair unboxings with videos recorded following In-Home Usage Tests to paint a complete picture of anticipated market response to Client innovations.

Idea Incubator Workshops

Cultural immersion is a best practice for understanding the worlds in which consumers & brands live. But traditional ethnos often disrupt natural behavior and stymy authentic conversation. Virtual ethnos take this disruption out of the equation through a series of video diary exercises, which are uploaded to a centralized dashboard. and analyzed by Omnivore’s cultural strategists.Over half-day or full-day offsites, we help agencies land on compelling creative concepts. Each session begins with a share-out of existing target intelligence, outlining Jobs to be done, and laying out the day’s exercises. We follow this module with an Active Listening debrief and ideation session before breaking for lunch. The second half of each session kicks off with a live or virtual Consumer Panel for a human-centric reality check. After a consumer Q&A, our facilitators lead the team in a series of exercises designed to test and stretch agency-generated creative directions. Emergent directions are then tested quantitatively and/or qualitatively in real time with an online consumer panel. Leading creative concepts then become fodder for remaining ’define’ and ‘refine’ breakout exercises.
